Here is what to expect:

-Nurses salary in Kenya

-Allowances of Nurses in Kenya
Nurses IN Kenya have been agitating for better pay for years through their union-the Kenya National Union Of Nurses (KNUN). The seemingly endless industrial actions called by KNUN have resulted in needless deaths as county governments remain unmoved by the nurses’ plight. The most recent strike is informed by the 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) entered between the county governments and KNUN but has since never been implemented.
According to Kisii county governor James Ongwae, who doubles as Council of Governors chairman for Labour and Human Resources, if the CBA is honoured counties will be crippled. He told the media of their dilemma:

“While we empathize with the health workers, their demands would have a huge ripple effect in the counties. Currently counties are barely surviving”.

President Uhuru Kenyatta Orders Nurses To Resume duty

The Kenyan President weighed in on the nurses strike and directed that they resume work or face the sack. Uhuru said of the strike:

“It is disheartening to see nurses engage in unlawful withdrawal of labour against the order of the Employment court”.
