Rev Lucy Natasha Shares Experience in Long Distance Marriage, Plans to Have Kids

Reverend Lucy Natasha has addressed a subject that has captured the attention of numerous followers; her experiences in marriage.

In a recent discussion with Dr. Ofweneke, the preacher disclosed that she is currently engaged in a long-distance marriage with her husband, Prophet Carmel.

Natasha emphasized that their relationship thrives due to their mutual dedication to ensuring its success.

“I think long-distance marriages can work if both partners are able to communicate effectively. My husband lives in Canada, while I live in Kenya. But we are always going back and forth, meeting each other,” she explained.

When asked how often they see each other in a month, Natasha mentioned that they are yet to come up with a schedule about the same.

“It’s not really about the number of times. There isn’t a set calendar, especially since we’re only in our third year of marriage,” she said.

Natasha indicated that they are still in the process of determining which country to establish their residence in, given that her husband hails from South India and is presently living in Canada.

Regarding children, she expresses a strong desire to embrace motherhood as a significant aspiration.

“I am really looking forward to it. Children are a heritage from the Lord. I’ve been a spiritual mother even before I began my ministry in Nairobi, and it has given me the opportunity to raise so many children spiritually

“But I also have a deep desire in my heart to be a biological mother to a few children. Having children is a gift from the Lord. So, we are waiting for His timing. We believe it will happen—maybe two or three,” she stated.

In a past interview with Oga Obinna, Natasha articulated her views on the subject, underscoring her conviction that children are a divine blessing and that God’s timing is invariably impeccable.

She conveyed her hopes and prayers for the arrival of children, recognizing that as she patiently anticipates this blessing, she finds joy in witnessing her younger sister Shifra, who is joyfully married and a mother of two.

“You know that children are a heritage from God. Of course, we have the desire and the prayer. I think that would be one of the greatest blessings from God.

“My younger sister Shifra is married with two amazing children and I see the joy of motherhood in her. So I look forward and aspire that one day God will also bless us with the fruit of the womb,” she said.

Natasha emphasized that children are a true blessing from the Lord, and regardless of her own intentions or aspirations, it is ultimately God who determines the timing of bestowing the gift of offspring.

“It is a blessing from God. Children are a heritage from the Lord. You can do the possible na bado. Mungu akitupatie ni sawa. Tubasubiri kwa Mungu,” she said.

Additionally, Natasha revealed her aspiration to have two children in the future.

The couple formally united in marriage during a traditional ceremony held in January 2022.

Natasha conveyed her delight by sharing joyful moments from the occasion, highlighting her happiness in discovering her soulmate.

The traditional wedding was a lively celebration, featuring the couple in coordinating cream outfits, and was graced by the presence of close friends and family, including prominent figures from Kenya.

Two months prior to the traditional wedding, Prophet Carmel, an Indian preacher, had proposed to Natasha during a church gathering.
