The Galaxy Unpacked event was held just a few days ago with Samsung unpacking their newest take to the fold industry; Galaxy Z flip 5. The SouthKorean company was the first to ever dive into the journey of foldables, releasing their first in 2019. Since then they have made vast improvements to their folds selling millions of units each year.
What to expect from the flip 5
The Flip 5 is astronomical with outstanding engineering design and performance. From the unboxing experience you get the phone itself a type C to type c cable and a bit of paperwork.
The design of the phone is the show stealer. Apart from the fact that the phone flips and closes to a clamshell design, the cover display plays a big role in the phones functionality.
The cover display has increased in size from a 1.9-inch in the flip 4 to a 3.4-inch display.
Its functionality was also sweetened with a bit more features such as it customisation features more apps can be used on it.
The Samsung Galaxy Z flip 5 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen for Galaxy chip, the fastest process on an Android phone. Speaking of Android it’s on Android 13L with One UI 5.1.1 which is the latest in the market .
The phone has a 3700 amp battery with wired charging ,wireless charging and reversed wireless charging which is a trademark at the moment .
My take
I quote and go with the answer from Samsung’s Commercial. Samsung is a front-runner in the evolution of foldable smartphones advancing foldable technology year after year. Samsung offers premium and didn’t do any less with the Z flip 5.
The z flip 5 is up for pre-order on Samsungs official site now starting at $1,000 / 143,500 KES and available widely on Samsung’s website as well as most major retailers from August 11th.
