Personal Life

Jeniffer Kabaka, made the family report to the media concerning the recent developments concerning a suspected attempted murder on the senator. On the fourth of December, 2020, Senator Boniface Kabaka Mutinda was rushed to the Nairobi Hospital in critical condition following events under investigation by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation. The senator is reported to have been in Kilimani when the incident occurred. Witnesses at the restaurant said that he arrived at the scene, ordered some food and drinks, and was later on joined by a middle-aged lady, now identified as Muli Esther Nthenya, a teacher at Mathemba High School in Kathonzweni.
Later on, a phone call is recorded by investigators of Miss Muli asking the apartment management to call the paramedics in response to the Senator falling unconscious in the apartment. The middle-aged lady, a high school teacher, said that the Senator had complained of sharp migraines and headaches before getting knocked out. Investigators have established this as a crucial piece of the puzzle and established Miss Muli as a prime suspect. It has been described to the media as a result of food or drink poisoning.
The case was brought before Milimani senior resident magistrate Ndungi David who allowed for a further detention period of seven days for Miss Muli. She is held under police custody at the Kilimani Police Station. The case is set for a subsequent hearing on the fourteenth of December. This is when the Senator would have regained consciousness and be in a stable condition. The DCI would also have a conclusive report from the investigations. The case also awaits results from the Government Chemist, where an analysis of the materials recovered from the crime scene is underway.
