Trevor Ombija is a Senior Partner and co-founder of Crestwood Marketing and Communications Limited. He co-founded the company alongside David Osiany – who is currently the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development. 

“Crestwood Marketing and Communications Limited is an integrated communications agency that endeavors to professionally solve sophisticated business and communication problems by strategically utilizing data-driven and other exceptional approaches to enhance and protect brands and reputations,” reads a part of the company’s description.

The company targets corporate organizations, government and non government institutions working on anything media and communications related.

The company was tasked with branding and managing communications of the Ministry of Health’s concurrent session at the International Conference of Population and Development 2019 (ICPD25) held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The company has worked with other institutions like the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) , accomplished over 232 projects, covered over 105 events and won 8 awards.

The presenter also co-owns the Samaki Samaki Seafood and Jazz restaurant in Kileleshwa.

Speaking to Kenyans, Ombija noted that he and his business partners intentionally fashioned the restaurant around sea food and jazz to capture the high-brow taste of its surrounding.

The facility incorporates indoor and outdoor dining experience with exotic potted plants and open-air tented sitting areas. Visitors at the restaurant are also treated to day beds and well done tables covered in white linen and surrounded by African traditional-style antic chairs. Samaki Samaki is said to be worth Sh60 million.

MC and Moderator

Aside from the consultancy, Trevor is a reputable master of ceremony and a moderator. He enjoys engaging and moderating various high profile panel discussions on political, social, economic and current affairs.

The most notable event he covered was the National Covid-19 panel conference held at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) on September 28th 2020.

The news anchor was hired to moderate discussions by the panel on resource mobilization and utilization for COVID-19. Members shared how early interventions by various stakeholders led to the successful mitigation of the adverse effects of the pandemic in the country.

The event was attended by former President Uhuru Kenyatta, ex-Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe and the then Chairman of the Council of Governors Wycliffe Oparanya among many other leaders.
