World Sleep Day is a global awareness event held annually and hosted by World Sleep Society since 2008. It  is intended to be a celebration of sleep and a call to action on important issues related to sleep.

Superfoam Limited, a Ruiru based sleep solutions manufacturer, took the initiative to donate mattresses and Pillows to children’s homes around the Ruiru environs. The aim was to provide quality sleep and sound mind to the less privileged children.

“World Sleep Day is a special day to us as a company and we are more than happy to celebrate with our children. A bright student is one that is well rested, and it is our sole responsibility to nurture them and provide a  healthy environment for their wellbeing,” Superfoam Limited Marketing Manager, Sanskrati Shetty gave her remarks at the event.

This year’s World Sleep Day theme; Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, specifically focuses on mental health. Sleep and mental health are closely connected. Sleep deprivation affects your psychological state and mental health. And those with mental health problems are more likely to have insomnia or other sleep disorders. Being a very vital issue especially among the young generation, awareness of sleep as a contributor of  sound mind and healthy mental state is key.

Superfoam Limited urges Kenyans to take sleep more seriously by investing in quality mattresses and Pillows.
