The Guv’nors House Gardens is a luxurious hotel located along the Nairobi-Nyeri road in Sagana, Maragua constituency in Kirinyaga County. The hotel is reportedly the former house of the current Kirinyaga county governor Anne Waiguru and was flipped into a hotel after she moved to another residence in Kitusuru, Nairobi. The hotel is equipped with amazing facilities such as a fully-fledged bar, heated swimming pools both indoor and outdoor, a multi-cuisine all day dining restaurant, meeting and conference rooms.

The facility looks inviting with its contemporary architectural designs and the perfect ambience unwinding. The hotel has ample parking and a client staying at the hotel has access to a fitness center, 24 hour front desk assistance, room service and security. Some of the other interesting features of the hotel include an elevator/lift, air conditioning in all the rooms, free internet and is accessible by the handicapped individuals.

Accommodation and Prices

Visitors get an opportunity to sleep inside Waiguru’s former mansion which have soundproof VIP rooms , terrace, air conditioning, designated smoking area, heating and ironing facilities. Spending a weekend from Friday to Monday on the executive rooms cost you up to Ksh 17,000 while on the normal rooms Ksh 13,000 both on half board. The prices are flexible and can be adjusted according to the client’s preferences and according to the season.
