The Murayas – Samuel Muraya alias DJ Mo and Linet Munyali a.k.a Size 8 are easily among Kenya’s most coveted celebrity couples. DJ Mo, a veteran disk jockey and show host and his wife Size 8, an award-winning gospel artiste, have made names for themselves in Kenya’s entertainment scene.
DJ Mo boasts an illustrious career which has seen him bag radio and television shows, as well as continue to dominate the events industry. Size 8 on her part walked out of the secular world and went on to build a successful gospel music career.
The Murayas have become a brand. They boast a huge social media following and have moved to convert their followers into clients as well. The couple has a YouTube channel where they share videos of their daily lives, constantly keeping in touch with their fans. They have also landed impressive brand endorsement deals that add to their financial kitty.
Just like several other prominent and famous persons in the country, the Murayas reside in the affluent Lavington estate in Nairobi. Here is a sneak peek of their lavish mansion as detailed by WoK.
The Murayas moved to their Lavington house in 2019. Previously, the couple lived in Edenville – a gated community along Kiambu Road, which is yet another posh neighbourhood with sports facilities and a UN approved security system.
When the couple was moving, DJ Mo could not hide his joy, taking to social media to share images of their multi-million mansion with his followers on social media. He flaunted the maisonette on Instagram, as followers got to see the white and grey exteriors of the lavish house. He went further as to take a photo of the new home’s night view, capturing the parking lot which showed his Range Rover as well as Size 8’s Jaguar XF parked outside.
The house has white and grey exterior colours which give it a touch of class and sophistication. In its simplicity, it is able to stand out magnificently as if to show what calibre of the house it is.
In a recent video shared by the Murayas on their YouTube channel, Size 8 took their fans on a tour of their house during a makeover.
The lavish mansion initially had a brown wooden floor in the living room but was replaced with a grey marble floor. The living room walls also have a white-flowered wallpaper, giving it a bright look. The windows have white and blue curtains which add to the beauty of the house.
The Murayas replaced their grey couches with new cream Chesterfield corner seats with white and gold coloured pillows. The couches also come with fluffy rags for comfort.
The family also modified their fireplace which is located in one of the corners of the living room. The fireplace is painted brown and appears to have never been used since an electric heater is fitted in it.
Lighting up the living room and the dining area is an array of lights hanging from golden chandeliers.
The walls in the dining area are painted blue with patches of gold. The dining table and seats are white with a golden lining. The living and dining room areas are dominated with pot plants that liven up the spaces. The Murayas have a gallery on one of the dining walls, where cute photos of the family hang.
In the bath area, the finish is quite something. The glossy surfaces spell great workmanship and attention to detail. Everything is exquisite from the faucet to the storage above the sink.
