Famed TV host Willis Raburu has left TV 47 months after being promoted to Director of Digital Services and Innovation.

Raburu leaves the Cape Media-owned station just days after stopping his Wabebe Experience show on TV 47.

“As I bid farewell to the TV47 family, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude for the remarkable growth we’ve achieved together over the past few months,” Raburu said in a statement.

It’s not clear where Raburu is heading next but earlier in April, the former Citizen TV host announced on social media that his Wabebe Show is taking a break at TV 47.

“We would like to announce that Wabebe Experience will be taking a SEASON BREAK. We sincerely thank our viewers for their continued support and enthusiasm. Rest assured, we are working diligently behind the scenes to come back BIGGER AND BETTER than ever! Stay tuned for updates on our return! We love you and appreciate you so much,” Raburu posted.

Willis Raburu joined TV 47 in August 2023, weeks after leaving Citizen TV.

During his time at Citizen TV, Willis started as a reporter before anchoring the lunchtime news and Day Break.

The versatile media personality has also tried his hand at music and hosted the hugely popular 10 Over 10 show on Citizen TV.

Raburu schooled at Aga Khan Primary School in Kisumu City. Later, he joined Chemelil Academy High School.

He pursued higher education at Moi University.
