4 Safaricom Services to Be Unavailable over the Weekend

Kenya’s top telecommunication service provider Safaricom has announced that four of its key services will be unavailable to its subscribers this coming weekend.

In a notice to its users, Safaricom said the services will be unavailable due to a scheduled maintenance exercise on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25.

According to Safaricom, the maintenance exercise will commence on Saturday at 10pm and end on Sunday at 9am.

The services set to be affected by the maintenance include; airtime top-up, tariff migration, SIM swap and activation of new lines.

Safaricom, however, noted that its other services including M-Pesa, data, calls and SMS will be available during the maintenance period.

“All calls, M-Pesa, internet and data, and SMS services shall remain available for the entire duration of maintenance.  The timing of the maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers…We are sorry for any inconveniences,” Safaricom’s statement read in part.

Safaricom users have been urged to plan accordingly in order to avoid any inconvenience during the maintenance exercise.

Safaricom is one of the best telecommunication service providers in Kenya and has millions of Kenyans subscribed to its network across the country.
