Wedding ceremonies in Kenya are regarded highly with a lot of time and money going towards the preparation of the big day. The ceremony sees the couple exchanging wedding vows in-front of family and friends. Some of these marriages last a lifetime while others crumple amid the hype during the wedding ceremony.

This looked like a match made in heaven. The wedding was a star studded affair that created buzz on social media platforms with #BettyWedsDennis trending on twitter for days. That was in October 2015. The two have since gone their separate ways after a hushed divorce. A section of Kenyans went on to suggest that the NTV investigative reporter dodged a live bullet courtesy of his ex-wife behavior.

June Ruto and Dr. Alexander Ezenagu-2021
The Nigerian Dr. Alexander Ezenagu filled the void eligible Kenyans bachelors had failed. The wedding had all the trappings of power as the West met the East in one of the most colorful weddings in 2021. Politicians showed up in traditional Nigerian outfits while the deputy president William Ruto was in a black suit, a bow tie and top hat. The bride’s mother Rachel Ruto looked stunning in a rose dress.

The king of Kapungala walked his now ex-wife down the aisle in style. Faridah Wambui looked so fresh and beautiful whilst Daddy Owen, real name Owen Mwatia, felt like he had won a jackpot. The wedding was indeed colorful and graced with A-list celebrities. The ceremony was held at Kenya Assemblies of God Church, Buruburu.

A man of means and good taste is what best defines business tycoon Jared Otieno. From the pre-wedding to the wedding, Jared was sure to make his wife’s big day was special. The wedding that was attended by the glitterati of the society was held at Windsor Golf and Country Club and the reception at Safari Park hotel. This is where money was doing the talking as the two lovebirds tied the knot of matrimony.
Anslem Madubuko and Emmy Kosgei
Emmy Kosgei is probably the luckiest woman in Kenya after being married three times by the same man, prophet Anslem Madubuko. The couple started with a traditional wedding at Emmy’s Kelelwa village before holding another ceremony at Windsor Golf Club and finally at her husband’s church in Nigeria for wedding number three. Anslem Madubuko is the general overseer of the Revival Assembly Church.

His wedding to longtime girlfriend Edna Wairimu was testimony enough of what money can do. The limousines and a chopper added color and prestige to the event that was reminiscent of his sister’s wedding in 2014 that is said to have cost over kes10 million to organize. The two exchanged their vows at Citam Church, Karen before heading to New Rain Hotel in Juja for their reception.

The nominated MP and his wife will always have fond memories of their wedding. ODM leader Raila Odinga was among the guests present in the ceremony held at Citam Thika Road and the reception at Evergreen Park, Kiambu. To spice things up, the romantic Mwaura organized a brief tour of the State House where his then newly married wife met the President.
