In Kenya, a number of celebrities have successfully managed to control the glitz and glamour that comes with the fame. While several others enjoy and soak in it, a few others have managed to maintain a low profile.
These celebrities have managed to separate their job from their personal life, and as a result, their families are hardly known to the general public. This separates them from several others who showcase their lives to their fans through their social media channels and handles.
In this article, WoK takes a look at some of the celebrities who have kept their spouses out of the limelight.
Daniel “Churchill” Ndambuki
Mwalimu Churchill is a veteran comedian, actor, radio presenter, and media personality. He is renowned and beloved for the legendary Churchill Show – which has given rise to several famous comedians in the country.
He is also known for the Morning Breakfast at Classic 105 FM which he hosts alongside Maina Kageni. On the show he is known as “Mwalimu King’ang’i”.
Despite the glamour that comes with constantly being in the limelight, the Laugh Industry CEO has managed to keep his family away from the media, causing fans to speculate on who his better half is.
During a past performance at an event, singer Willy Paul put Churchill to task, asking him whether he had a better half, and who she might be. The comedian, however, refused to reveal her identity, instead, asked why people were so curious to know more about his family?
However, a while ago, Churchill was photographed at a church service with his son and presumably a woman who many think may be his wife. Further reports indicate that her name is Mwongeli Ndambuki.
Reasons as to why the veteran comedian chose to keep his family away from the limelight remain unknown, though some may argue that it is better that way, considering the drama witnessed among several celebrity couples.
MC Jessy

Over the years, there have been numerous speculations about the media personality’s private life, especially after images of him and Shiks Kapyenga did rounds online, tagged with allegations that the two were dating.
According to reports, the comedian is Jesse is married to one Elizabeth Wangare, whom he wedded in 2012 at Winner’s Chapel.
However, the comedian has on numerous times denied knowing anyone by that name, but word is that MC Jessy distanced himself from the claims, to preserve the privacy of his personal family life.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given,” he captioned the image.
Larry Madowo’s love life has been a secret affair. Several conjectures have emerged in a bid to unravel who could be his woman but that has not been successful.

Kamene Goro
The Kiss 100 FM presenter is off the market after she revealed that she got engaged in November 2021. However, she noted that the engagement did not mean that it would end up in matrimony.
“I have a ring because I’ve been taken off the market, it’s a guarantee of the sort but I’m not engaged to be married,” she said in an interview with Youtuber Nicholas Kioko.
She further noted that she chose to keep her current relationship off social media so as to avoid toxicity.
“The social media space is so toxic. People want to be part of your life but for the wrong reasons. I’m not a celebrity, my job presented these circumstances,” she added.
The 29-year-old has often been vocal about her failed marriage to her Tanzanian ex-husband, one she says ended badly.
Avril Nyambura
The singer has recently maintained a low profile after a vibrant career, producing hit after hit.
In 2014, Avril announced her engagement to her ex, South African venture capitalist, Leslie Mugadza. The two were on a rollercoaster relationship and after several months of dating, he proposed to her in Cape Town at The 12 Apostles Hotel with a three stone diamond ring worth Ksh300,000 at the time.
