A candidate must hold a Ph.D degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline from a recognized university. A maximum of ten years teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate degree-of these, three years must be at Associate Professor level.
The eligible applicant must have also supervised a minimum of three (3) doctoral and five (5) Masters students to completion since the last promotion.
They must have not less than sixty equivalent publications as Associate professor, of this, forty should be from referred scholarly journals. They should also have attracted research or development funds as Associate professors.
