Samuel Kangau: Limuru Businessman Making Up To Ksh 3,500 Per Day Selling Libido-Boosting Elixirs From Sugarcane Juice

In the midst of Limuru, a small town in Kenya, an unassuming shop has become the hub for locals seeking a remedy for their hangovers and a boost in their vitality.

The man behind this unique elixir is none other than Samuel Kangau, affectionately known as “daktari wa kutoa lock” (the doctor who removes the lock), thanks to his magical sugarcane juice.

The secret to Kangau’s success lies in a simple yet powerful blend of sugarcane juice and an array of green vegetables, including spinach, managu, ginger, terere, cabbages, aloe vera, and pumpkin seeds.

This concoction promises to cure hangovers and enhance libido, a potent combination that has captured the imagination of the local community.

Kangau’s journey into the world of sugarcane juice began during his time working as a long-distance truck driver in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

“It is in Congo where I learnt this trade. As truck drivers, we flocked a certain joint where we would take the  juice to cure our hangover. The place used to be full and I was very curious about trying it out back home,” Kangau said.

Upon his return, Kangau conducted thorough market research and realized there was a demand for his unique elixir.

Encouraged by his findings, he decided to take a leap of faith, quit his job as a truck driver, and try his hand at this business opportunity.

Armed with his savings of Ksh200,000, Kangau invested in blenders and a sugarcane crushing machine and set up his juice shop in Limuru town.

The response was remarkable, with men flocking to his establishment every morning to savor a glass or two of the rejuvenating juice.

The effectiveness of Kangau’s secret concoction is undeniable.

A large glass of his “magic juice” is priced at Ksh100, while a smaller one goes for Ksh70.

“In a good day, I take home between Ksh3,000 and 3,500 and on a bad day, I fetch around Sh2,500. It is good money and I can’t complain. It is enough to cater for my family needs and it’s much better than what I used to earn as a truck driver,” he said.

Mondays are particularly busy for Kangau, as customers throng to his shop to detoxify and cleanse their systems following a weekend of festivities.

While the hangover-curing properties are well-known, Kangau’s juice has also gained recognition for its health benefits.

It is particularly helpful for people with diabetes, providing a natural and nutritious alternative.

One of Kangau’s clients, John Kagwi, revealed that he stopped taking painkillers for hangovers after discovering the magic elixir.

“Alcohol kills your appetite; the green juice is magical in restoring appetite, and that’s why I am here,” he explained.

Additionally, Kangau has found success with the addition of pumpkin seeds to his blend. Rich in zinc, these seeds are known to enhance libido and testosterone levels, drawing even more customers to his shop.
