  • The apartments have a shopping block, a school and play area for children

Moses Wetangula holds a high echelon position in Kenya and is the 8th Speaker of the National Assembly. This means that he is automatically the chair of the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC).

The PSC functions to ensure efficient operations of both houses by among other methods preparing annual parliamentary expenditures. Wetangula is also a member of the Committee on Finance and Judicial Operations Budget (JOB).

Despite being a wealthy and influential man, he has largely kept his wealth under tight wraps. Instead, he has chosen to lead a humble and simple lifestyle.

In this article, WoK reveals Wetangula’s lucrative real estate investment that sits in Syokimau.

The 360° Court Apartments

Wetangula has been linked to the 360° Court Apartments that is located in Syokimau, Machakos County.

According to Business Today, he owns more than 12 multistorey apartment blocks of the establishment.

The 360 Court Apartments boast of a serene locality besides ease of access to numerous social amenities. It is just 5 kilometres from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and 20Km from Nairobi’s CBD.

Two Bedroom and Three Bedroom Apartments

The apartments are of two bedroomed and three bedroomed apartments. Each boasts of high quality fittings and comes with a lounge, dining area, kitchen, common bathroom and a large utility area.

The 360° Court Apartments are also secured with a perimeter wall with an electric fence. There is availability of security personnel round the clock. The establishment offers cabro paved driveways and has a generator back-up for common areas.

Controversy

The real estate project has however been mired in controversy after Syokimau residents sued the developer in 2012 arguing that it sits on riparian land. Three years later, Justice L.N Mutende stopped the construction of two blocks (15 and 18).

He also gave a directive that the perimeter wall of the establishment be modified to ensure efficient drainage.

In February 2021, hundreds of people who had settled at 360 Apartments woke up to a rude shock following a night of heavy downpour which led to flooding in the area.

The floods led to losses as the water destroyed electronics, furniture and stationery especially for residents of the ground floors. It was feared that some cars had their engines knocked after they were engulfed in water.
