Maina Kageni Gifts Himself The Kipchoge 159 Isuzu Dmax Worth KShs 9M

Seasoned radio presenter Maina Kageni has recently acquired the Eliud Kipchoge 159 Limited Isuzu D-Max Edition, further expanding his collection of lavish assets.

The Classic 105 FM presenter now possesses one of the 159 vehicles created to celebrate Eliud Kipchoge’s historic sub-two hour achievement at the Ineos 1:59 challenge in Vienna, Austria in 2019.

“Here we are… just picked it up. What a car!!!! now, spot me on the road. I am now driving the ALL NEW, BRAND NEW Kipchoge Isuzu D-Max Eliud Kipchoge Edition. Thank you Isuzu East Africa!!” Maina shared on his social media pages.

Priced at KShs 9 million, the vehicle embodies status, excellence, and endurance, mirroring Kipchoge’s own qualities. It is a standout choice for car collectors like Maina seeking a prestigious addition to their collection.

This price point marks a notable increase from the standard D-Max models, which range from Kshs 3.6 million to Kshs 5.6 million. According to Kevin Ochieng, Marketing Officer at Isuzu East Africa, the higher cost is attributed to its distinctive features that reflect Kipchoge’s unique personality.

The truck stands out with its exclusive desert orange color, reserved for the Kipchoge edition. It features the Kenyan flag on the grille, matte black rims, and several distinctive logos, including Kipchoge’s signature and the iconic 1:59 time.

The interior matches the exterior’s excellence, showcasing Kipchoge’s signature on the rocker door panels and the back of the center console.

The first vehicle, designated ‘Kipchoge 001’, set the standard for the subsequent serialized editions, providing a unique touch for each owner.

The vehicle is a technological marvel, equipped with an Intelligent Driver Assist System that seamlessly synchronizes the driving experience with the driver’s maneuvers.

Equipped with Forward Collision Obstacle Alert, Misacceleration Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, lane assist, and an automatic headlamp adjustment system, the vehicle demonstrates its advanced design and focus on safety.

The radio presenter has now enhanced his impressive car collection with the addition of the D-Max, which complements his lineup that includes a 2011 BMW X6, Chevrolet Trio Blazer, a 2016 and 2020 model of the BMW X6, Jaguar XF, and a Toyota RAV4.

Beyond his automotive investments, he has also ventured into real estate, owning properties both in Kenya and internationally. His most notable asset abroad is a condo in Miami, Florida in the United States.
