Aden Duale is a firebrand Kenyan politician currently serving as Member of Parliament for Garissa Township. The veteran politician was once allied to the ODM party before joining President Uhuru Kenyatta led Jubilee Party. He is now allied to deputy president William Ruto UDA party. The vocal MP is arguably amongst the richest politicians in the North Eastern region. 

Aden Duale began his career as a teacher before making an entry into the murky world of politics. The former Majority Leader of the National Assembly of Kenya has since built an empire with interests in a number of sectors including hospitality.

Livestock 

In 2019, he gave Kenyan’s snippets into his camel and beef lot farms. The MP owns a camel farm in Balambala Constituency in Garissa county. As a member of the pastoralist community, he is proud of his camels. In his Somali community, camels are a symbol of wealth and status.

 “A man without a camel is not praised in the after life and the death of a man without camels is not news,” he once tweeted. 

Duale also farms other animals including cows, goats and sheep in his expansive farm in Garissa. The animals are reared until they are ready to be sold for meat.

Hospitality 

The lawmaker has also been associated with two sister hotels, that is, Nomad hotel in Garissa and another branch in Nairobi. 

The Garissa hotel is situated on an acre of land in Kismayu road, Garissa. The hotel is close to government buildings and the shopping center. It is also located in a secure fast growing town. The hotel has 67 rooms and also offers storage for belongings and a safety deposit box. 

The Nomad Palace Hotel in Nairobi is conveniently located a few kilometers from the CBD along General Waruinge street. It is a modern hotel with about 95 well furnished rooms. The rooms are divided into: Standard, Superior and Deluxe with each going for a different price.

The hotel has an on site restaurant, and a cafeteria that serves light meals and beverages. It also has a number of board rooms to cater for different groups and also promises to offer 24 hour room services, airport transfers and comfortable accommodation among other things.

Flats

According to reports we cannot independently verify, the legislator owns rental apartments in Donholm estate.

Hagar Construction Company

Aden Duale is associated with the Hagar Construction company. The company has in the past been given such projects as the fencing of the Garissa Provincial Hospital at a cost of Sh40 million.
