Alice Ng’ang’a Promises to Sponsor Viral School Girl Spotted Selling Maize at Night

Embattled Thika Town MP Alice Ng’ang’a has promised to educate the young school girl who went viral.

Njeri from Jomoko in Thika, was spotted in a video in her school uniform helping her mother sell maize late into the night.

Kenyans led by Karangu Muraya managed to raise over KSh 200k to support her.

Muraya in a post on social media, confirmed that Alice Ng’ang’a has promised to care of the young girl’s education.

Njeri will be educated at the Thika Town MP’s expensive Westridge School.

“See God. This Morning I have received a call from my great friend Hon Alice Ng’ang’a Mp Thika who have offered to sponsor Baby Njeri Education. This beautiful girl from coming Monday by the grace of God, she will be schooling with my son Emmanuel at Westridge School Thika … si mseme tu mheshimiwa Alice Abarikiwe.” Muraya said.

Ng’ang’a was recently uncovered as the owner of Westridge School.

The day and boarding international school is located along Kandara Road in Thika Greens, Thika.

The school offers the competency-based curriculum (CBC) across early learning, primary, junior secondary and senior mixed school.

At pre-school, children are offered a playful, nurturing and stimulating environment to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.

This includes playgroup children, pre-primary and pre-primary 2, according to the school’s official website.

Moving up to the primary level, pupils are introduced to core subjects like English, Kiswahili, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
