Harambee Stars head coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee resignation comes amidst a lacklustre performance by the national team. The tactician cited ‘personal issues’ as the reasons why he called it a day barely a year after taking the reins of the national team. 

Speaking to Radio Jambo-where he co-hosts the popular ‘Patanisho’ show-, the presenter said he was going through a rough patch after spending two months with his ailing brother in India.

He went on to say that “After returning from India, a lot of things changed personally.”

Mulee said he would have resigned earlier if it was not for the world cup qualifiers. 

“We were just about to start the World Cup qualifying games and in that situation, it is very difficult for a coach to resign.”

“After the draw against Rwanda and Uganda, I sat down with the FKF and we all saw it fit that I hand over to someone else,” he intimated.

The head coach was not taking home anything less than kes700,000 excluding bonuses. According to our source, Kimanzi pay was kes650,000. Former Harambee Stars coach Sébastien Bernard Migné salary was kes1.5 million.
