Anastacia Kakii: Kiatu Kivue Singer Begs For KSh 3 Million After Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Gospel singer Anastacia Kakii popular for her hit song Kiatu Kivue has announced she is battling breast cancer.

Kakii, formerly known as Anastacia Mukabwa shared that she needs KSh 3 million for treatment.

The gospel singer is in urgent need of flying to India for advanced treatment.

“A month ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I have been advised to seek urgent medical treatment. The cost is Sh3 million. The doctors have not yet confirmed the stage, but we will overcome this,” she said in an interview with Nation.

Fellow gospel musicians led by Gloria Muliro rallied fans to help raise funds for her treatment.

Muliro shared a poster with details an and account for fans and friends to send money.

“Praise The Lord Friends, minister Annastacia needs our prayer and financial support for medication. Her songs right from “Kiatu Kiue”, continue to bless us. Please support her. No amount is too small. God bless.” Muliro said.

Early this year Kakii got married in a colourful ceremony to lover Maurice William Juma after divorce from former husband Mukabwa.

“I thank God for a beautiful wedding. God gave me a second chance. He did not give up on me. In His own time, He has blessed me with a great man,” she said after the wedding.

There are several known methods to treat cancer today: radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, and transplant and each of these treatment methods use different drugs, equipment, time, resources and expertise.

For that reason, they all come with different financial implications.

Additionally, the patient’s medical history and his/her response to the treatment also affects the cost of treatment.

Take for instance radiation, that can cost anything between Rs 10 lakhs (KSh1.5 million) to 20 lakhs (KSh 3 million).
