Baba Jimmy Shares Unemployment Struggles Since Relocation To US

Popular preacher and Tiktoker Isaiah Carrier aka Baba Jimmy recently made headlines after relocating back to the US with his family exciting  fans with the great strides in their life.

The preacher who had initially moved to Kenya for missionary work decided to move his family to be closer to his extended family while they continued ministering in the US.

The Carrier family settled in Kentucky, where Baba Jimmy and Mama Jimmy have embraced their new life while maintaining their commitment to their faith and community.

In a live session on Tiktok with his wife, Baba Jimmy shared updates on their life, particularly his struggles with finding a permanent job in the United States. He stated that he found a temporary position working alongside his brother who owns a roofing company.

He detailed the challenges he was experiencing in the job but shared that he was optimistic that things would look up soon.

Mi nafanya kazi ya mkono tu ya juakali. Nafanya kazi ya roofing na ndugu yangu ako na biashara au kampuni ya huku majuu. Roofing iko sawa. Malipo iko sawa lakini shida ni moja. Shida hatupati kazi mfululizo. Kwa siku moja yes, mshahara iko sawa sana. Shida ni saa zingine tunaeza kaa hata pengine for mwezi before upate kazi,” he shared.

The lack of a consistent stream of income was proving to be a challenges especially following the high cost of living abroad.

Adding to the challenge of an inconsistent job, Isaiah added that he and his family was having a having a hard time adjusting to the extreme hot weather in Kentucky.

He requested their followers to pray for their family’s sustenance as they were going through tough times..

“Kwanza hapa jua ni kali sana joto ni mingi sana…So ni maombi tu. Tunahitaji Mungu kwa kila kitu atusaidie kazi ipatikanange kila siku kwa sababu ukikosa kazi maisha ni ngumu. Mgambo kwanza maisha iko juu,” he narrated.

Despite these hardships, Isaiah assured that the Carrier family would remain strong, drawing on their faith and support from the community to adapt to their new surroundings.

Apart from his preaching and roofing work, Baba Jimmy is also a recording artist , and he made gospel music at his homemade studio dubbed Wajumbe Records during his stay in Kakamega ,Kenya.
