Betsafe is quickly gaining traction as the number betting site in Kenya thanks to its well thought out advertisements and offerings. The company managing director of Betsafe Kenya is Alex Kobia. The company is Bet High Kenya, Betsson’s Kenyan subsidiary. During the launch of the operator late last year, Kobia said of their approach:
“Betsafe was created with the safety of Kenya’s sports betting fans in mind, with a first in-class responsible gaming environment that contains unique control and safety features,”
He went on to say:
“Additionally, we will be the first gaming company in the region, to hire a responsible gaming officer, to continually ensure alignment with Betsafe values towards its customers, and while managing our flagship responsible gaming programme in partnership with GamHelp Kenya – an organization that supports Kenyans with behavioural problems associated with gaming.”

Founded in Norway back in 2006, it originally focused on the Scandinavian market- Norway, Finland and Sweden. With time it evolved and spread out across different parts of the world. Currently, it has more than 800,000 customers in 100 countries.
In 2011, the company was acquired by Betsson group. Partnering with Betsson Group, Bet High Kenyan Ltd (a Kenyan company licensed by the Betting Control and Licensing Board- BCLB), announced the launch of Betsafe in Kenya which was branded as Betsafe venture in the Kenyan market.
According to Betsson AB website, their company primarily invests and “manages fast-growing companies within online gaming.” The company is listed on the NASDAQ Stockholm Large Caps (BETS) and has 12 licences in 12 jurisdictions. It is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden and its operational headquarters in Ta’ Xbiex.

Maximum winnings
The minimum payment per deposit may vary for different payment methods. The minimum deposit amount is Ksh50 while the minimum bet amount is Ksh20. The minimum withdrawal amount on Betsafe is Ksh100. You can withdraw up to Ksh150,000 per transaction and up to Ksh300,000 per day.
The maximum earnings allowed per bet are Ksh5 million per multibets and Ksh200,000 for single bets. The maximum winnings allowed to a customer is Ksh10 million per day.
If you want to withdraw all your funds, you must first cancel any outstanding stakes and contact support. They only allow withdrawals to mobile money accounts that are identical to the mobile phone number of your account. They will not transfer money to any other mobile money account on your behalf.
