Cedar Mall: Inside The Ksh1.3 Billion One-Of-A-Kind Mall in Nanyuki

Cedar Mall is an exciting and modern Shopping Centre located on Rumuruti Road in the heart of Nanyuki, Laikipia County. The two-phase facility rests on over 18,000 sqm.

Phase I of the shopping centre consists of over 12,000 sqm of the highest quality retail space. It was designed by renowned architect Bowman Associates to international standards.

Phase I consists of Chandarana Food Plus Supermarket, Java House, fashionable
line shops, restaurants and a foodcourt, serviced by almost 300 parking spaces.

The second floor of the shopping centre has a terrace bar, a boutique offering office suites
all with stunning views of Mount Kenya.

The Cedar Mall project was undertaken by Esteel Construction Limited and is estimated to have cost Ksh1.3 billion. A report by Kenyan Wallstreet indicated that the facility is co-owned by Kiloran Development Group which contributed Ksh480 million and Housing Finance which contributed the remaining Ksh820 million. Kiloran is a British investment group.

The mall which began operations in September 2016, is managed by Kiloran Group. Knight Frank is the mall’s leasing agent.

Cedar Mall, is the largest shopping mall in Laikipia and is all about experience, leisure and lifestyle and a place where people of all ages can spend the day under one roof. Nanyuki has the largest urban population in Laikipia County and Cedar Mall has a primary catchment area within 3 km, of over 150,000, and a secondary catchment area of over 300,000.

Mall Exhibitions: Over the years, Cedar Mall has continued to provide Exhibition and Marketing Promotion opportunities for businesses and establishments of all kinds in specific areas of the Mall, at affordable fees. Thanks to the steady flow of foot traffic from both Nanyuki natives, and tourists.

Areas around the mall used for exhibitions include; Atrium Opposite Escalator, Atrium Opposite Chandarana, Main Parking Area, Front Entrance, and Roof Top Parking Area.
