Cosmo Choy is a Kenyan political commentator residing in US who gained popularity because of controversial videos which were posted through a popular Facebook page owned by blogger Mutembei. Most of the clips involved political issues and more often than not he went overboard and used dirty language in attacking various politicians.
In a past interview, the bald man defended his use of vulgar and foul sentiments, saying the matter is justified when engaging in political issues.

Cosmo Choy’s real name is Cosmas Ombori Monari.

According to his Facebook account which has over 45k followers, he was born on 18th July, 1971 and is currently aged 51.
Family and Background
The political commentator doesn’t shy away from posting photos of his wife and children on social media. He has previously intimated that he is a polygamous man and his first wife works as a medic in New Jersey, USA. Monari’s children from the first marriage are now adults and one works as a manager in one media company in US.
Cosmo Choy’s second wife goes by the name Felicina Wambui. The couple reside in North Carolina.
Monari’s original home in Kenya is in Bobasi, Kisii county. He belongs to the Kisii tribe, mwomabere family. However, for a better part of his life, he has lived in USA (27 years) where he works for a logistics company called Ryder that is involved in fleet and supply chain management.

Political Career
Monari is a self-proclaimed leader of Abagusii Community in US. Previously, he was an ardent supporter of ODM leader Raila Odinga before he shifted allegiance to William Ruto. He accused Raila of betraying his supporters when he entered into the handshake camaraderie with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“He used to stand for the truth and fight for Kenyans but later changed and betrayed millions of supporters through the handshake. Instead of working as an opposition leader, he had one foot in government and I realized he is not trustworthy,” said Monari.
Monari intended to vie for the Embakasi East parliamentary seat, currently being held by Babu Owino. He had hinted at coming back to Kenya for campaigns, saying Babu Owino did not deserve to be an MP due to a past incident where he was implicated in shooting DJ Evolve at a Nairobi club.
Trivia
Through one of the videos that has since gone viral and led to public uproar, Cosmo Choy recorded himself hurling unprintable insults to Mama Ngina Kenyatta. This is after the former first lady publicly declared her support of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
The distasteful remarks sparked anger especially among women. Various leaders including Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris, governor Anne Kananu and former CAS Rachael Shebesh took to the streets demanding a written apology from UDA party.
Cosmo Choy has since apologized saying he regrets having made the remarks.
“I hereby apologize to the Kenyatta family. I’m sorry for the remarks I made a few days ago; I regret. On behalf of my family, I apologize, I A didn’t mean it. We are human beings, we make mistakes and we forgive each other,” he said.
