Dr Mattress is touted as one of the best if not the best bed and pillow production company in Kenya. The company was founded by Adnan Merdin who also doubles up as the managing director of the giant mattress store that has also diversified to furniture. The company has cut middle men by selling direct to their customers. Other brands associated with Dr Mattress include Dr. Pillow, Duracoil and Durafoam.
Education
According to his Linkedin account, he was a student at the Kenya Polytechnic between 1988 to 1991. He joined Dokuz Eyluul University, Turkey between 1980-1984 for a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and management.

Career
He has been the managing director of Dr Mattress Turea Limited since 2012. Under his stewardship, the company has grown immensely to become a market leader in its segment. The mattress manufacturer has partnered with HYPNOS UK, ranked as the most comfortable bed in the world. They are also distributors of CLEAN REST America and LATEXCO.
Clients
Some of their big time clients include Ibis hotel, Mahali Mzuri, Ole Sereni, Intercontinental and Sarova.

Branches
Dr Mattress has 19 showrooms spread across 12 cities. The branches are located in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu, Malindi, Thika, Ruiru, Kigali, Kakamega, Kitale, Kericho Nanyuki and Kisii.
