How to stop Safaricom from using airtime when bundles are over

As mentioned above, the Out of Bundle Management ensures you aren’t billed from your airtime when browsing.

This means data charges will only be on your data bundles.

To activate the Out of Bundle Management service, follow the steps below;

  1. Dial *544#
  2. Select Out Of Bundle then choose Activate
  3. You will receive the following SMS confirmation message.

When the Out Of Bundle Management service is activated, you will receive a pop up menu with several options when you start to browse the internet.

  1. Buy a data bundle
  2. Okay Data bundles
  3. Redeem Bonga points for data bundles
