KRG the Don is a Kenyan artiste and an entrepreneur par excellence. He has been dubbed as the richest musician in the country. He quickly rose to fame after releasing back to back hits. His song Mathogothanio featuring Boondocks and DJ Lyta became a hit garnering over 3 million views on YouTube.
He was born on 14th January 1991.
The dancehall artist claimed he divorced his wife because she had gotten into the habit of associating with poor people.
“She loved moving around with low-life and people who added no value to her life. People I can only liken to chokoras,” he said.
KRG went on to say that he had opened several business for his wife but she floundered.
“She has had businesses but she is not business oriented. Even if you open a business for her, it fails because she lacks big dreams. She had no bills to foot, hence assumed a comfort zone,” he added.
Away from music, KRG is a trained deejay. He started music at the age of 16 and the interest has not dimmed since. His debut dancehall song Whine and Drop was received well.
The year he made his debut in the music industry, he released seven dancehall and hip hop tracks alongside Jiggy. The songs were produced at G Hood Records and mastered at Herbal records.
In April 2021, he also released a song named Full Kisunzu, an excellent work of art which features Khaligraph Jones.

The musician says most of his money comes from his business interests. He is into construction and owns a company called Kilions Group. The company deals with roads and buildings construction. He runs the company alongside his partner.
KRG is also the owner of a tours and travels company called Taraja Safaris. At Taraja, they offer ticket services, Safaris and car hire services.
Among his many investments, he also has a transport business under Wallstreet Corporation that runs the business of commercial lorries, such as trailers and tippers.
Pertaining to music, he owns a Studio called Fast Cash Music Group where they offer audio and visual recording.
He is among the richest musicians in the country. In a 2015 interview with The Standard, he alluded that he was worth quite a lot but did not reveal his actual net worth.
“I can’t say I am a millionaire. Maybe a billionaire, because of the land I own. The cars I have could be equivalent to millions in value,” he said.
A Chrysler 300c 2008 model, and a land cruiser VX V8 2014 model were among the six cars he owned at the time.
He also owns several properties including a large parcel of land in Naivasha.
