Mother-in-law was one of the most popular TV series in Kenya. The program was a breeding ground for some of the biggest talents in the country. One such actor who a product of the show was Ninja. He played the role of a nosy watchman. While he is no longer an actor, Kenyans will always remember him for the brilliant role he played on the show.

Real Name
His real name is Jeff Okello.
Background
He was born in Huruma area, Nairobi county. He was the fifth born in a family of ten children. His father went by the nickname Military.
One of his sisters, Lydia, made an appearance on Tahidi High and was also a dancer in a video by popular boy band Sauti Sol.
Acting
The popular actor loved acting from a young age. He used to perform in church even as a child and the passion in the arts never dwindled. He then began doing theatre and acted in a number of plays before landing a role in Mother-in-law.
Ninja played the humble role of a watchman in Mother-in-law. While some may see it as a minor role, he took up the task and did it to the best of his ability. In real life, he said he couldn’t even be a watchman to save his life.

In a 2016 interview, he said he would love to live abroad for a while. He advises young people that acting needs discipline since it was not something easy. According to him, young people should go out and give their best in whatever they are doing.
Ninja has also always been passionate about mentoring the youth. He has motivated aspiring actors in different areas and institutions.
Marriage
On 14th January 2018, Jeff Okello married his Finnish Fiancé Atja Maria Huhta at an invite only ceremony. The two met when Maria was doing volunteer work in Nairobi’s Kayole area.
“I met my fiancé Katja Maria Huhta almost four years ago when she was doing volunteer work in Kayole and now we have an adorable daughter,” said Ninja at the time.
The two are now in their fourth year of marriage as he splits his time between Kenya and abroad.
Children
The couple is blessed with two children, a girl and a boy named Leo who was born in 2018.
