Mwanaidy Shishi: Businesses Owned By Citizen TV Journalist Hassan Mugambi’s Girlfriend

Mwanaidy Shishi is the founder and CEO of Mama Nilishe, a Swahili cuisine restaurant in Kilimani, Nairobi County.

The restaurant food prices range from Ksh 100 to Ksh 800.

They also offer door step deliveries at a fee depending on the location, and orders can be made online via Glovo, Uber Eats and Bolt Food.

Unknown to many, the entrepreneur is also Citizen TV news anchor and reporter, Hassan Mugambi’s fiancé.

Mwanaidy Shishi is the founder of Mama Nilishe and four other businesses, most of which are online.

She runs Mama Nilishe Savour, selling natural Swahili spices including seeds and herbs, and also Artisan Fyre, dealing in stylish clothing.

Shishi is also the founder of Goddess Skin Factor selling bleaching agents and Aurum Sparkle selling pure gold and silver jewelry.

Mama Nilishe is located in Mall 66 opposite Adlife Plaza; immediately after Yaya Center, Kilimani.

It has become a favourite spot for many thanks to its menu that has options of authentic traditional Swahili cuisines.

The restaurant boasts both outdoor and indoor dining area that is well-lit, airy and decorated with artificial plants.

Mama Nilishe also has an open kitchen concept which allows guests to watch as their food of choice is being prepared.

The menu has traditional Swahili dishes like biryani and popular coastal specialties such as prawns and grilled fish.

Mama Nilishe’s main course include chicken biryani, fish platter, coconut fish, chapati with coconut fish and beef platter.

The restaurant also sells accompaniments such as vibibi, extras like nyama ya kukaanga and natural juices including tamarind, mango and passion juices.

Their most cheap food is tambi which cost Ksh 200 while the most expensive meal is chicken platter which goes for Ksh 800.

Relationship

Shishi is dating Citizen TV news anchor and reporter, Hassan Mugambi.

The journalist introduction Shishi on April 21, 2023 when muslims were marking Eid al-Fitr, an Islamic holiday that marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

In an update on his Instagram page, Mugambi shared a photo alongside Shishi who was dressed in a full Islamic attire.

“Eid Mubarak and Jumaa Kareem.”

Shishi later shared a compilation of videos with Mugambi on her Instagram reels and captioned it;

“Can I put my legs on your shoulder?”

The video managed over 27,000 views, over 3,000 likes, 292 likes, 343 shares and over 84 saves.
