Nairobi Homeless Man Becomes Business Owner After Kenyans Raise Funds For Him:”Transformed Life”

David Murethi found himself in the streets homeless after a cousin he was staying with moved out for greener pastures with all his belongings.

Here is how the young man was rescued as WoK found out.

According to philanthropist and social media influencer Derrick Mbugua, who came to his rescue, Murethi had been living from hand to mouth doing menial work.

“Just around my home area I noticed a person sleeping in a kibanda and got curious to know who it was and why he choose to sleep in a kibanda despite the rains and cold,”

“He tells me his name is David Mureithi yeye huchapa vibarua ile imepatikana,”

“All he gets ends up in buying food. He became homeless when his cousin who had ACCOMMODATED him went to look for greener pastures na akahama na vitu,”

Pia ameniambia he can open a chapati base because he is good in cooking chapatis,” Mbugua posted.

Mbugua later took Murethi to a friend’s chapati base where he showed off his chapati-making skills.

Kenyans touched by his attitude to work later raised money to support him.

Mbugua confirmed the young man got a place to rent and a start-up capital and equipment for his new chapati base courtesy of donations from kind Kenyans.

“And finally David Mureithi a homeless man is now a business owner . Through your support of 12,570 ksh we have rented a house for him and done all this,” Mbugua confirmed.

Kenyans expressed happiness after the life-changing turnaround of Mureithi.
