Michael Olunga is a popular Kenyan footballer who plays as a striker. His exploits on the pitch has earned him awards and fans beyond the borders of Kenya. He was the top scorer in 2020 when he played for Japan outfit Kashiwa Reysol with 28 goals in the J1 League. He won the Golden boot and the J-League 2020 MVP.

The Technical University of Kenya (TUK) engineering graduate was signed by Qatari Al-Duhail football club in 2020, for a contract set to expire in 2023.

Al-Duhail Sports Club, formerly Lekhwiya SC, was founded in 2009 and is associated with the Qatar State.

The club started off as a Second League championship, before scaling up to become a First League championship.

The official playground for the club is Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium, with a capacity of 12,000 occupants.

His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani is the chairman of Al-Duhail Sports Club. The team has in the past scooped a number of awards among them,
