Rift Valley Hills Resort: A Tour Inside Moi Family’s Imposing Hotel In Kabarnet

Rift Valley Hills Resort, one of the Lake Bogoria Spa group of resorts, is a 4 star elegant hotel that is located in Kabarnet town. It is the largest hotel in the town and its patronized by business people, civil servants and local and foreign tourists.

Rift Valley Hills Resort receives a good number of guests keen explore the breathtaking landmarks found in the region. These tourist attractions include the Marakwet escarpments, Cheploch Gorge, Tugen Hills, Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria. Rift Valley Hills Resort’s entrance faces a small tropical like forest that gives it a lush green atmosphere. The giant trees are said to be between 100 – 300 years old and is home to a species of birds. The bird sanctuary serves as another amazing feature for clients as they are awoken to musical chirping sounds.

According to documents at the Registrar of Companies, the firm was set up in 1995 by Phillip Moi co-owned Lake Bogoria Spa group of Resorts with his late father President Daniel ara Moi. Rift Valley Hills Resort falls under the umbrella of this facility that is famed for natural spa with steam from the famous Bogoria hot Springs.

Types of Rooms And Charges 

Basically, the hotel’s 60 luxury guest rooms are categorized into three. The most affordable is the standard room which is charged ksh 3300 a night. It has a king-size bed and working space.

The superior rooms with a single bed are charged Ksh 4600 and are designed with contemporary tile floors and wood accessories. The balcony gives an early morning ambience especially for visitors exploring the over 60 species of birds. Superior rooms with two king-sized beds goes for ksh 7700 per night. The indicated charges vary with seasons and may be higher during holidays and festive seasons.

Facilities 

This hotel offers high speed WiFi connection and has a number of restaurants that serve great quality of dishes thanks to the culinary skills of the chefs. Visitors can order the famous Baringo county naturally salted meat, popularly known as koriema alongside other dishes.
