Comedian and Late Night “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah is what every African comedian would wish to end up like. He is successful, wealthy and doesn’t have to spend sleepless nights hustling for shows. The awarding South African comedian has become a such a sensation after taking the baton from his predecessor Jon Stewart. His performance has been impressive that CNN extended his contract to 2022. Noah said of the extension:

Noah Bio
The comedian is a product of an interracial relationship between Robert Noah and Patricia Nombuyiselo. Trevor was born in Johannesburg on 20 February, 1984 in what was an illegal union between his parents. His mother was jailed and fined for having Noah with a whiteman.
Noah’s mother was remarried in 1992 Ngisaveni Abel Shingange to and conceived two children, Andrew and Isaac. The new man was abuse to both Noah and his mother leading to a divorce four years later Shingange was miffed with Patricia when she was married to Sfiso Khoza and showed his anger by shooting her. Trevor stepped in and confronted him about the incident, only for his ex-step father in law to threaten him. He fled to Los Angeles fearing for his life.

The young comedian was seemingly prepping himself for the big break at a rather ‘tender age’. In his teen, Noah played a minor role on Isidingo, a South African soap. He went on to host his own show christened Noah’s Ark on a local radio station. His fame rose when he started hosting television programmes and even starred in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Noah is now many things rolled in one:a comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor, and television host.
