Following the resignation of George Kinoti in September as the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), over 220 candidates expressed interest in the position. However, it was Mohamed Amin Ibrahim who carried the day just as he had been confident of doing. After he was sworn in, he expressed his joy and went on to say it was like returning home since he had worked with the DCI for most of his career. He promised to work without bias and engage all strategic partners to ensure the directorate’s mandate is met.

“I will always be available and for purposes of records, I would like to give out my number which is, 0722415419, so that any member of the public or any other person who feels like reaching out to me can easily do so,” he said.
