When Citizen TV’s “Tahidi High” school drama series aired in the early days, she was among the first actors. Eunice was the first head girl and acted under the stage name Sony, alongside others like Pierra Makena.

Mama Kayai was impressed by her acting skills and saw a perfect fit in the Vitimbi program. Lucy, the Vioja Mahakamani judge, convinced her to take the role of a wife in the series.

At first she felt insulted but later tried it out and loved the role. This is how the name Nyasuguta was born. For a long time, she acted in the program as Mogaka’s wife. The two had a wonderful stage presence that constantly attracted viewers to the show.

Politics

After a successful acting career, Nyasuguta decided to venture into politics. In the last general elections, she was aspiring for the Embakasi South Member of Parliament seat under the Jubilee ticket.

During an interview with Amina Abdi on K24 Alfajiri, she said that she had worked with the people of Embakasi South and had even assisted jobless youths secure jobs. She was promising to create more jobs, nurture talents and ensure each Ward has an ambulance on standby to help in emergencies.

The former Tahidi High actress also talked about being attacked in the area. She was in the company of his brother when marauding youths attacked them and left her with bite marks. The funny woman turned politician said he had forgiven the paid youths.

The attack left her scared but she soldiered on to the end.

Bleaching

A lot of fans were surprised when the veteran actor bleached her skin. During the same interview with Amina Abdi she explains her reason. In 2013, she was involved in a bad accident that left her with injuries.

The skin on her face was severely injured and she had different patches on her skin. In a bid to return her confidence, her mother suggested a skin bleach which she agreed too. Since then, the actor has been fair skinned and not the dark skinned person many used to know.
