Alex Mwakideu Salary At Milele FM

Radio like TV is very competitive in Kenya. It’s so competitive that to retain and add numbers of listeners and viewers the stations have to poach the best talents. The likes of Jalang’o or Jalas, real name Felix Odiwour, have been jumping from one station to the next that have sweetened deals.

Alex Mwakideu, who is the subject of this post, made a name for himself at Radio Maisha where he co-hosted the morning show with Jalas. The duo chemistry was undeniable and the numbers of listeners just confirmed that. Jalas was the first to exit, then Mkwehu-as he is also known-‘left’ the Standard Media Group owned radio station. It was 8 years for Mwakideu-a pretty long time for our unsettled radio presenters.

Joining Milele FM
Mwakideu is talented; has the numbers and that’s what radio stations honchos are interested in. The MediaMax owned radio station was on a revamping mission and what a better to achieve this than by bringing in the big boys. Mbaruk Mwalimu and Billy Miya who hosted the breakfast morning show at Milele FM had to exit the station to pave way for Mwakideu and Jalas.

According to a section of online news outlets, Deputy President William Ruto bought a substantial stake in Media Max surpassing the shares of the Kenyatta family. The DP is apparently prepping for the 2022 presidential elections and what a better way than to have a friendly media that has the numbers.
