Citizen TV’s Zora Actors and Their Real Life Partners

Zora which airs on Citizen TV has grown to be a fan favourite and one of the most watched television shows in the country.

The drama series took over from Maria, which had aired for about three years.

Zora is produced by Jiffy Pictures, a production company owned by Citizen TV news anchors Lulu Hassan and her husband, Rashid Abdallah.

It’s cast features a number of household names in the country’s entertainment scene, giving it an extra edge over other tv shows.

Sarah Hassan

She plays the role of Zora in the drama series. Hassan is a darling of the Kenyan audience, having featured in several other tv programmes.

She is married to Martin Dale, a South African. They bumped into each other at a gym in ABC Place, Westlands and started dating.

The two wedded on February 25, 2017, in an invite-only wedding held at Karura Forest, Westlands, Nairobi.

Blessing Lung’aho

He plays the role of Madiba in Zora. The accountant turned actor has risen to become an influential tv producer, fitness instructor, and commercial model.

Lung’aho is famed for films: Checklist, Run Kenya, Chasing the light, Torture, and Power of belief.

Others include Makavazi on KBC, Mother In Law on Citizen TV, and he also featured in Maria on Citizen TV.

Jackie Matubia

Born Jacqueline Mwangi, she is a digital content creator, actress, entrepreneur and television personality.

She plays the role of Nana on Zora.

Matubia is married to Kennedy Njogu alias Captain Nyogz. The two have a daughter named Zari Wanjiku.

Njogu is a pilot by profession.

In 2019 there were rumours that the couple had separated due to allegations of infidelity from both parties. It has since been dismissed since they celebrated their anniversary in 2021 as a married couple.

Brenda Mitchell

She plays the role of Alma on Zora.

The University of Nairobi graduate is married to award winning producer Jacky B.

Eunice David

She plays the role of Hamida in Zora. She is married and is a mother of one.
