Jamal Gaddafi Biography, Age, Education, Career And Family

Jamal Gaddafi is a popular Kenyan TV personality full of charisma and looks to die for. He is known for hosting a popular show on Kenya Television Network (KTN) and dabbles as a media communication consultant for notable public figures.  

He has been in the media industry from 2015 when he was crowned the winner of the Presenter, a competition on KTN to identify the best news presenters in the country. He has gone on to win a number of awards and has been nominated in the past for the prestigious African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) in the category of Best Radio/TV Personality of the Year. 

Age

The talented media personality was born on 23rd October 1990. 

Education

The entertainment presenter was a student at St Mega Secondary School in Kitui. After his O-levels he joined Graffins College for a diploma in public relations. He went on to join Kenya Methodist University for a degree in Mass Communication.

Career

In 2015, KTN had a reality show dubbed “The Presenter.” The show was about identifying talents and nurturing them in a bid to create well rounded individuals in the media industry. The show attracted a number of contestants who went on to become well known media personalities, such as Edith Kimani. Jamal Gaddafi and fellow contestant Michele Ngele aced the show to emerge top and automatically got employed by KTN. 

After the show, he began hosting the KTN music show dubbed “Mambo Mzuqa.”

Apart from hosting Mambo Mzuqa show, he also does communication related work for the flamboyant Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho. 

In 2020, he became part of Tanasha Donna’s communication team. 

At one point, he accused Diamond Platinumz of trying to sabotage Tanasha’s career by forcefully pushing Zuchu. 

“…Mondi anatumia force nyingi sana kwa Zuchu, ili amfunike Mzazi mwenziwe…unaona live tu Diamond anavyo msukuma Zuchu sio kawaida tu ni sababu tu ya Tanasha, kutaka kuwalinganisha hao wawili. Lakini Mimi naona kibiashara ni sawa, lakini end of the day ni Mzazi mwenzake, asingempa hard time,” (loosely translated: Diamond is pushing Zuchu’s brand to get back at her baby mama Tanasha. Am not against it but he should understand he has a baby with Tanasha) he once said in an interview. He also went on to add that it did not mean he was against Zuchu. He is just against the fact that they were trying to copy Tanasha’s style. 

Family

Jamal is married to Ahlam Faysal. He met his wife through Snapchat. 

“I noticed how she was beautiful and commented on her picture, and also messaged her. She ignored me though,” he once revealed. Much later, they met at Jamia mosque and she finally responded to his text telling him it was nice to meet him in person. The rest is history. 

The couple has two children , a son and a daughter. The son is named Prince Eyaad Jamal born in 2016 and the daughter is named princess Marya born in 2019. He announced the birth of his second child through a post on social media.

“Allah has blessed me with a beautiful baby girl. Both the child and mother are doing fantastically well. God is good. Princess Marya welcome,” the elated father posted on Instagram.

Awards won 

The Burudani TV presenter is what you would call a serial award winner. He clinched the Most Outstanding Media Personality of the Year at Xtreem Awards in 2019. He was voted the best dressed male media personality in Africa in 2017 and 2018. 

He said of his win:
