KCSE Grades Scored By Top 20 Kenyan Celebrities

The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is a crucial examination that determines the educational paths of many Kenyan students. However, success in life is not solely dependent on academic achievements. A section of Kenyan celebrities who did not perform well in national exams have gone to achieve remarkable success in their respective fields.

Khaligraph Jones

The famous rapper and self-proclaimed OG revealed in his song ‘Maombi Ya Mama’ that he got a D+ in KCSE exams. Despite his low grade, he went on to achieve success in the music industry.

Akothee

Akothee dropped out of school at the age of 14 and got married. After 10 years of being a housewife, she decided to go back to school and scored a mean grade of C+ in KCSE from Wasio Mixed Secondary school in 2004. She has since become a successful singer and entrepreneur.

Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor, known as Jalang’o, revealed that he got a C+ in KCSE. He is a celebrated media personality and has achieved success in the entertainment industry and recently in politics.

Mulamwah is a Kenyan comedian and media personality. He scored A- in KCSE and got a chance to study a Bachelor of Nursing course at Jomo Kenyatta University.

Shorn Arwa

Shorn Arwa is a lifestyle influencer who scored A plain in History and Government, and A- in Business Studies and Christian and Religious Education in her KCSE.

Brenda Wairimu

Celebrated actress and Juliani’s wife scored A plain in KCSE according to Pulselive.

King Kaka

King Kaka, also known as Kevin Ombima, is a rapper and businessman. The alumnus of Eastleigh High School scored an A- in KCSE and went on to graduate with a degree in accounts from Kenya College of Accounts.

According to multiple sources, Diana Marua the wife to singer Bahati scored a mean grade of C (Plain).

Betty Kyalo

Betty Kyalo scored a mead grade of B- in her KCSE. She is an accomplished media personality and entrepreneur.

Breeder or Bazenga Dadii/Papa Fathela whose real name is Paul Baraka is a top Kenyan Hip-Hop artist who sored a mean grade of A- in his KCSE.

Instagram influencer Risper Faith managed to score C- minus.

Babu Owino

Babu Owino, the Embakasi East MP, scored an A- minus of 79 points in his KCSE. He studied Actuarial Science and Law at the University of Nairobi.

Wahu Kagwi

Wahu Kagwi, a Kenyan singer, scored an A (Plain) in her KCSE and later graduated with a degree in Mathematics from the University of Nairobi.

Fena Gitu

Fena Gitu, a sensational singer, scored an A- in her KCSE and studied under the 844 education system.

DJ Crème de la Crème

DJ Crème de la Crème, also known as George Njuguna, scored an A- in his KCSE and graduated with a second-upper division Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Kabarak University.

JB Masanduku

Kenyan comedian JB Masanduku scored an A in his KCSE exams.

Nathan Kimani

Nathan Kimani, an A student, attended Starehe Boys Centre and Alliance High School. He later studied civil engineering in Russia.

Polycarp Otieno

Polycarp Otieno, the producer and guitarist of Sauti Sol, scored A in his KCSE exams and graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology.

Charles Luche

Charles Luche, a video director who owns Luche Production/Calif Pictures, scored an A- in his KCSE.

Abbas Kubaff

Kenyan rapper Abbas Kubaff scored A plain in his KCSE Exams.
