“The cars we drive say a lot about us,” Alexandra Paul once said. Kenyan celebrities understand this statement and have invested a lot of their hard-earned finances to acquire luxurious cars in terms of comfort, status symbol and exclusivity.

Some of our local celebrities rake in huge earnings thanks to their day jobs, side hustles which include businesses and brand endorsements.

In this article, WoK takes a look at some of the Kenyans with the most expensive rides.

Jalang’o

Felix Odiwour, well known as Jalong’o, is one of the wealthiest celebrities in the country and has a liking for posh cars. The radio presenter, comedian and media personality and now a politician-has six expensive cars: V8, over finch (Range rover), Discovery, Mercedes SLK and Mercedes V class.

The ODM Lang’ata constituency parliamentary aspirant owns a Bentley which reportedly set him back Ksh18million and a Range Rover over finch worth up to Ksh20 million.

Eve Mungai

The content creator has risen fast to become one of the most bankable celebrities in Kenya. Her hardwork has paid off and spoiling herself with a luxurious Toyota Crown was long overdue. The car retails for Ksh2.5 million and upwards of Ksh3 million.

Jeff Koinange

The veteran award-winning journalist’s name pops up among the list of Kenyans with the most expensive cars. He Owns a Mercedes –AMG G-Wagon estimated to cost over Ksh15 million.

Maina Kageni

The Classic FM radio host well known for being vocal about his thoughts and a die–hard Manchester United fan reportedly was among the first few hummer owners in the country.

Kageni owns the BMW X6 2016, and 2020 models. He is reported to be a huge fan of German machines. According to reports, the 2016 X6 costs around Ksh14 million.

The car boasts a host of exclusive features such as comfort access where when one holds the handle, it unlocks and locks without the use of the key.

In 2011, Kageni acquired a brand new BMW X6 for a reported Ksh11 million. He revealed that he sought a change of style when he bought the car which used a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

In 2014, the veteran presenter acquired a 2012 Jaguar XF which was then estimated at a cost of Ksh10 million.

The car was custom designed and the new headlights were fitted with daytime running lamps (DRLs), a restyled bonnet and new chrome side ‘power vents’.

Kageni also owns a Mercedes Benz and a Range Rover.

KRG the Don

The young businessman-cum-musician boasts investments in property and construction.

According to reports, KRG has a car collection of about Ksh40 million including a Toyota Land Cruiser VX V8 2014 model worth an estimated Ksh8 million and 2008 Chrysler 300C.

Huddah Monroe

Her lavish lifestyle and travel habits speak a lot about the Kenyan celebrity who ekes her living in modelling, curtain-raising events and product promotion.

The socialite owns a pink range rover worth Ksh4 million and an Audi QT worth Ksh6.5 million.

Akothee

Madam Boss as she is often referred to as has made a name for herself in Kenya’s music industry and in business. The mother of 5 does not shy away from showcasing her lavish lifestyle.

The Akothee Safaris CEO owns a convertible German machine worth Ksh15 million, a Mercedes AMG SL 63, a range rover, a land cruiser V8 and an Audi limousine.

Terence Creative

Terence is one of the most renowned comedians and content creators in the country. The former Churchill Show scriptwriter boasts huge earnings from his YouTube shows and brand endorsement deals.

The talented comedian recently purchased a brand new land cruiser estimated to cost Ksh5 million.

Terryanne Chebet

Media personality and entrepreneur. The lady owns a Santorini Black Range Rover Eloqua estimated cost is 16.5 million.

Crazy Kennar

The Kenyan comedian joins the club of local celebrities with expensive whips.

About a month ago, the comedian was the talk of the town after he acquired a brand new Toyota Prado TX. According to reports, the car is worth in excess of Ksh5 million.
