Roseline Ngolo, widely known by her online moniker “Pilot Nyako,” is a spirited Kenyan content creator who has captivated audiences on various social media platforms with her unapologetically candid and relatable content.

Born in Kenya and currently residing in Germany with her family, Nyako has carved a niche for herself through her engaging videos, fierce personality, and outspoken demeanor.

The name “Nyako” holds profound significance, symbolizing “girl” in the Luo dialect, a reflection of her proud Kenyan heritage and identity.

Her journey to digital stardom began with her emergence in the TikTok realm, where her audacious presence quickly caught the attention of viewers around the world.

Having spent her early years as a school bus driver in Germany, her storytelling prowess shone even while behind the wheel.

Drawing inspiration from her personal experiences, memories of her life in Mombasa, and her day-to-day interactions, she began sharing her anecdotes through live sessions on platforms like Facebook.

Her narratives were not only captivating but also provided a window into the realities of life as an African in the diaspora, resonating with a global audience.

As Nyako’s popularity surged, she transitioned to TikTok, where her expressive personality found its true home.

Nyako’s videos encapsulate an array of topics, from cooking demonstrations that showcase her culinary skills and culture to discussions on trending issues and heartfelt advice for her fellow women.

Her authenticity shines through in every piece of content, attracting viewers who are drawn to her genuine, unfiltered approach to storytelling.

Nyako’s rise to fame was marked by notable interactions with other online personalities, some of which escalated into fiery exchanges.

Her verbal sparring with content creator Andrew Kibe became a subject of online discussion, thrusting her further into the limelight.

Another memorable encounter involved an online confrontation with Citizen TV presenter Lulu Hassan, propelling her popularity to new heights.

In May 2023, Pilot Nyako influence was on full display when she announced her highly anticipated homecoming party.

Held at the Labaita Lounge on June 4th, the event showcased her undeniable connection with her audience and celebrated her journey as a digital influencer.

Furthermore, her story reached an even wider audience through an insightful interview with popular YouTuber Vincent Mboya, where she delved into the intricacies of her remarkable journey.

In a current interview with  former radio presenter Oga Obina Nyako claimed to have grown in the streets where he could earn more than Ksh 40,000 per night working as a sex worker.

She says at the time she was a naive young woman who wasn’t afraid,

“Nobody introduced me to the streets. I was in Hurligham when a certain white guy I was with dropped me at Mad House, at the time I did not even know the joint. I was a cheap street walker, I would charge 1000 or 1500 bob.

The highest amount I was said by a White guy was 40K. I did not know how to negotiate at the time.”

Pilot Nyako has since changed and is married with kids.

“I went to a German school here with the money I had saved from my days as a street walker. I applied for an exchange course in Germany and that is how I left Kenya. I landed in a very rich family, but I found it very boring. I left that family, I was stupid and I wish I can change things.”
