Located in Kajiado County, Kitengela town has become one of the fastest growing towns due to its proximal location to the capital. The urban centre is only 32 kilometres from Nairobi CBD and has become a favorite for various investors in the hospitality sector.

Enkasiti Plains Resort
The facility sits on 36 acres and is owned by the family of Joseph Kung’u. The proprietor bought the land in 1997 and began putting up his retirement investment.
He had a meticulous plan and was determined to give the place a beautiful rustic appearance. Mr. Kung’u set up an irrigation system in order to give the place a lush green appearance. Despite discouragement from naysayers who questioned the feasibility of the investment, he set up the facility as he gambled on a serene environment that would attract people from the capital.
“At first, many wondered where I would get guests interested to holiday in a bushy area outside Nairobi. I dared to actualise my dream regardless and in 2015, I opened this resort after several years of just having a picnic site for weddings,” said Kung’u as captured by Business Daily.
Currently, Enkasiti is a booming resort that serves a variety of cuisines and both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. It has a swimming pool and also serves as a picnic site besides being a wedding venue.
Club 034
Emmanuel Ngetich bought a grounded plane from Kenya Airways and modified it to become one of the talked about restaurant in Kitengela. He got this nascent idea after he visited Thailand and realized how junk planes were being redesigned into various entertainment facilities. Ng’etich acquired the grounded KQ plane for Ksh 1 million and spent another 7 million into reshaping it. The proprietor officially opened the Air 34 this December to patrons. Creflo Gardens
The facility is owned by Larry Nakudema who was previously a pilot in his 30s. However, he decided to say goodbye to the cockpit and venture into the hospitality sector. Creflo gardens sits on a 40 acre piece of land overlooking Lukenya Hills.
It has a bar, swimming pool and seven cubicles that offer privacy. Its outstanding feature is its well manicured garden that has a man made river. The facility charges at least ksh 50k for weddings.
Sandalwood Hotel Kitengela
The hotel exudes class and luxury. It is owned by Leon Ndubai, an eclectic entrepreneur who has also invested in the finance sector.
The serial entrepreneur took over the hotel’s management at only 21 after the death of his father. Sandalwood is known for serving international cocktails, freshly brewed coffee milkshakes and expertly prepared dishes.
Rixxos Lobby and Grill
It is one of the recently opened entertainment joint in Kitengela and has been able to fend off stiff competition from other establishments. Rixxos is situated in the outskirts of Kitengela town along the Namanga highway and is owned by controversial businessman James Mburu Githae who hit headlines after he threatened an employee demanding her salary by alleging he had direct access to the president.
The premises was officially launched on Saturday October 29, 2022 at a time when it was already causing a stir in the area with everyone trooping to the restaurant to get a firsthand experience.
It is constructed in a square form with various lounges around the block where visitors can sit and enjoy their favorite meals. At the center of the property is a green space with six sunken underground lounges.
Pavilion XV
It is a multimillion investment which is owned by comedian Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Mwalimu Churchill. Pavilion offers a number of facilities such as a nightclub, car wash, modern barbershop and a variety of games such as snooker pool table, carrot board, darts, chess and card games. However, it is has lately been reported to have lost dozens of clients to Rixxos Lobby and Grill.
GMC Fun Place
This a perfect gateway for children located along the busy Namanga Road. It has a heated pool and was ranked among the restaurants with the best pools. The restaurant is owned by Optiven Group CEO George Wachiuri
