Pavilion XV nightclub in Kitengela has been shut down after two years in operation.
A report on Nation showed that the club associated with comedian Churchill closed down after the opening of another club a short distance from the establishment.
During its opening, revellers from both Machakos and Nairobi counties would flocked Pavilion XV thanks to its friendly liquor prices, ample parking among other amenities.
However, the opening of Rixxos Lobby and Grill along Namanga Road forced the Churchill-owned club out of business.
The establishment is completely abandoned with a sign advertising stalls, kinyozi spaces and shops to let hanging on the gate.
“People stopped coming. People who used to operate nyama choma outlets moved out in a huff to the new club. It is the trend in Kitengela,” a watchman explained the closure of the club.
Rixxos is situated in the outskirts of Kitengela town along the Namanga highway.
The premises was officially launched on Saturday October 29, 2022 at a time when it was already causing a stir in the area with everyone trooping to the restaurant to get a firsthand experience.
It is constructed in a square form with various lounges around the block where visitors can sit and enjoy their favorite meals.
At the center of the property is a green space with six sunken underground lounges for reservation perfect for a couple’s dinner date.
At the restaurant, visitors can enjoy their favorite drink either alcoholic or non-alcoholic, as well as delicious meals prepared by highly qualified chefs.
