PrideInn Group continues to increase its footprint across the country after acquiring a plaza hotel along Mombasa road as it seeks to venture into conference tourism.

The facility which has been named PrideInn Plaza has 64 rooms and suites and nine conference halls.

Speaking recently, Hasnain Noorani, the Group’s Founder and Managing Director said the facility will serve its customers from Machakos and Nairobi counties.

He said the new establishment is ideal for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE).

“With the ongoing recovery of the Kenyan economy, local and international companies have revived conferences. That is where we come in. PrideInn Plaza is strategically located to host conferences from any part of the country,” Noorani said.

Noorani added that they plan to expand the room capacity to 200 in the next 12 months to be able to serve more guests.

Following the deal, PrideInn will manage the hotels for Azure Hospitality Group and in turn get a monthly income.

“Under the proposal, PrideInn comes in as a management company to operate the hotel on Azure’s behalf

“It’s very similar to a lease model except that the monthly lease amounts vary based on the percentage of total top-line revenue generated by the hotel determined using the Global hotel software,” Noorani added.

This comes a month after PrideInn acquired Pride Inn Azure luxury Mara camp, taking a pie of the game reserve whose popularity has risen over time.

The camp occupies 25 acres of land and has 16 luxury cottages and 14 luxury tented camps.

Speaking during the official announcement of the acquisition,Noorani said that the camp is also focused on sustainable energy and that it is entirely powered through solar heating.

“We are extremely proud to take over the camp and we look forward to working with leaders, and customers, we are excited to be in Mara, we also look forward to working with all clients and making the experience better for all

“One of the best things about the camp is that each of the cottages has luxury indoor showers, bathtubs and each of the tents has outdoor showers, the interior has been carefully selected to ensure Bushfield is maintained and comfort is given to our customers,” he said

So far, the group has seven hotels spread across Narok, Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kwale counties.
