PSC Announces 290 Job Vacancies with February 4 Deadline, How to Apply

The Public Service Commission(PSC) on Tuesday, January 14, announced 290 job openings at the Ministry of Information, Communication and Digital Economy.

In the notice shared on My Gov, those qualified as Information Communication Technology Assistant III were invited to apply, and do so through the commission’s official channels.

“Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the Commission website www.publicservice.go.ke or jobs portal www.psckjobs.go.ke,” PSC said.

Prospective applicants have until 5 p.m. on February 4, 2025, to submit their applications.

Applicants are encouraged to review the detailed job descriptions and requirements on the Commission’s website prior to submission.

The PSC is mandated with the establishment and abolishment of offices in the public service.

The PSC also plays a vital role in appointments and disciplinary oversight. It is responsible for appointing and confirming personnel in the public service, while also exercising disciplinary oversight to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

The PSC is committed to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the public service, aiming to improve the delivery of government services. It also plays a key role in human resource development by prioritizing the training and growth of public service personnel to boost their skills and performance.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Trade is aiming to recruit eight project specialists who will form the Project Implementation Unit (PIU).

The available positions are project director, financial management specialist, project accountant, procurement specialist, monitoring and evaluation specialist, communications specialist, environmental and social risks management and a legal specialist.

The PIU will be responsible for coordinating the management, monitoring, and evaluation of the World Bank State Department of Investment Promotion (SDIP) Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) Project, and the positions will be based in Nairobi.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through ps@investmentpromotion.go.ke.

“Application letters submitted physically must be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the vacancy number and job title together with a detailed CV, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, and contact details of at least three referees addressed to the PS, SDIP. Applications must be received on or before January 31, 2025,” SDIP PS Abubakar Hassan said.
