The ex-10 Over 10 host attended the Aga Khan Primary School in Kisumu before joining Chemelil Mixed Academy High School. Despite his passion for the media industry, his father wanted him to pursue a career in IT.

After graduating, he faced multiple rejections from local TV stations before finally landing a job at Citizen TV, which marked a turning point in his career.

At Citizen TV, he hosted various shows, including the popular “TruthMeter” and “10 Over 10,” where he initially co-hosted with Joy Muthengi before taking over as the sole host.

Notable Achievements

Throughout his career, Raburu has received recognition for his outstanding work. He has been honored with awards such as the Maji Award for his three-part series, “Deadly Water,” the Children’s Rights Award for his Rwanda series on the resilience of children, and the Road Safety Award for the series “Killer Drivers.”

Love Life and Family

In 2014, Raburu made headlines when he proposed to his then-girlfriend, Sally Mbilu. However, the couple broke up two years later. Raburu later married Mary Ngami in a surprise ceremony in 2017.

The couple met in church through a mutual friend, and since then, Raburu has openly shared photos of his wife on social media.
