Inheriting wealth and assets at a young age is a unique situation that presents both opportunities and challenges.

Such is the case for Allay Raila Odinga, the nine-year-old son of the late Fidel Castro Odinga, who finds himself at the center of a substantial estate.

The untimely demise of his father in January 2015 left behind a complex web of valuable properties, bank accounts, and assets that require careful management and protection until Allay reaches the legal age

This article will look  into the intriguing tale of his inherited estate and  the legal agreements surrounding it.

The Estate’s Management

Following the untimely demise of his father, Fidel Castro Odinga, Allay’s assets, including valuable properties, bank accounts, and cars, are being managed by his uncle, Raila Junior, and his mother, Lwam Getachew Bekele.

A unique agreement was signed, ensuring the preservation of these assets until Allay reaches the legal age.

Raila Junior collaborates with Fahm Getachew Bekele, Lwam’s brother, as administrators of Fidel’s estate.

Assets of the Estate

Fidel’s estate comprises two plots of land in Kisumu, a Nissan Sunny motor vehicle, a luxurious Range Rover, and 250 shares in Ambesa Investments Limited.

Additionally, substantial funds are held across various bank accounts, including Gulf African Bank, Diamond Trust Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and African Banking Corporation.

These assets cannot be sold or disposed of, and their proceeds are exclusively reserved for Allay’s well-being and necessities.

“The agreement states that the Administrator in the estate, Fahm Getachew Bekele (Lwam’s brother), will be replaced with Raila Odinga Junior, so that Lwan Getachew Bekele and Raila Odinga can be the administrators of the late Fidel Castro’s estate,” reads the agreement.

Legal Battles and Family Dynamics

The management of Fidel’s assets became contentious, leading to a legal battle between the Odinga family and Fidel’s widow.

Two properties were retained by the widow, exacerbating the family’s disagreements.

The Odinga family accused the widow of neglecting the twins fathered by Fidel with another woman, which further complicated the distribution of the estate.

They argued that the grant issued to Lwam unjustifiably excluded other interested parties, such as Fidel’s other children, his mother, and his sister.

The Mystery Surrounding Fidel’s Demise

Adding to the enigma, Fidel’s death remains shrouded in mystery.

He returned home one fateful Saturday night after a night out with friends and was tragically discovered lifeless in his bed the following day.

The police initiated investigations, but no official reports or findings were ever released, leaving the case unresolved.

This unresolved aspect of the story adds an air of intrigue and speculation.

Allay’s Future

As Allay grows, his inherited estate will play a vital role in shaping his life. While he is shielded from the legal complexities and responsible management of his assets, the focus remains on ensuring his well-being and essential needs are met.

The proceeds from the estate will be allocated towards his education, healthcare, holidays, clothing, and other necessities, offering him a comfortable upbringing.
