Being a female celebrity in Kenya is associated with a life of glamor and dating rich and famous personalities. One of the most bankable celebrities in Kenya is Akothee, a mother of five who has consistently featured on entertainment news blogs.

In this article, WoK looks at the schools top female socialites attended and the grades they scored in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination (KCSE).

Corazon Kwamboka-Lwak Girls  

The socialite was a straight A student. Corazon was a student at Lwak Girls High School where she scored A plain in the KCSE. 

“I have always been a smart student since childhood. I actually scored an A at Lwak Girls High school,” she told Heads Up in 2014.

Most Kenyans will probably not remember the last song Akothee released but her name remains on their lips. She is one of the most bankable celebrities in Kenya thanks to her massive following. Akothee scored C+ in KCSE in 2004 from Wasio Mixed Secondary school.

Betty Kyallo-Kangundo Girls High School

She was one of the best and most popular KTN female news anchors. When she joined K24, the TV siren star did not dim either given the relatively low viewership on the Mediamax owned TV station. So what did she score in KCSE? According to multiple-online sources, Betty Kyallo scored a B- from Kangundo Girls High School.

Fena Guti-Precious Blood Riruti

A big name in the local entertainment scene. She ranks among the best female rappers in the region. Fena scored A- in KCSE examination from Precious Blood Riruta. 

“Nilipata A-, hadi leo nikona uchungu sikuget A. Niko na uchungu nilifail,” she told a local daily. 

The rapper harboured dreams of becoming an astronaut.

“Becoming an astronaut was my first big dream but then again I wanted to be a pilot. But I was not good in Math, Geography and Physics.”

Wahu Kagwi-Precious Blood High School-Riruta

Another brainy from the prestigious Precious Blood High School. Wahu scored A Plain in KCSE. 

Diana Marua-?

Diana Bahati has become one of the biggest female celebrities in Kenya. The high school she attended is not in the public domain but what we are able to establish is that she scored a C (Plain) in KCSE. 

Brenda Wairimu-?

The actress scored A (Plain) in KCSE but hasn’t disclosed the high school in Mombasa she attended. Brenda Wairimu was the third best student in the country…..” I was index one, and in Form 4 (KCSE) I was number 3 in Coast province so don’t just see me like this.” She revealed.
