Meshack Muli: Rising From Poverty To Kenya’s Luxury Car Mogul

In the heart of Nairobi, amidst the vibrant chaos of the city, a tale of triumph against all odds unfolds – the story of Meshack Muli.

Born on August 30, 1992, in the humble neighborhood of Mukuru kwa Rueben, Meshack’s early life was marred by financial hardship.

His family, like many others in the area, struggled to meet even the most basic needs. Education, a luxury for many in his community, seemed like an unattainable dream.

“We grew up in poverty, and my parents couldn’t sustain even the basic needs, such as sending us to school. We had to rely on well-wishers,” Muli said.

Yet, despite the dire circumstances, Meshack’s parents instilled in him the unwavering belief in the power of education and the importance of aspiring for greatness.

Fate smiled upon Meshack when compassionate sponsors extended their support, offering him the lifeline he needed.

With their generosity, he stepped into the doors of Gatoto Community School in Mukuru kwa Rueben, marking the beginning of a transformative journey.

Here, he not only received an education but also discovered the strength within himself to dream beyond the constraints of his modest beginnings.

Meshack’s educational voyage continued at Masinga Secondary School, where he proved his mettle.

His determination and hard work bore fruit when he successfully completed his Form Four education in 2011, a monumental achievement given his humble background.

Armed with knowledge and a thirst for more, he was now poised to tackle the challenges of the world outside the classroom.

While education was his priority, Meshack harbored a passion for music and DJing.

His love for beats and rhythms led him to a DJ school in 2012, where he refined his skills.

Little did he know that this passion would soon become a stepping stone to his future endeavors.

In 2013, Meshack found himself thrust into an unexpected role – he became part of the DJ team during the campaign trails of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

His talent and dedication in the realm of music earned him recognition and experiences that would shape his destiny.

Embracing the winds of change, Meshack took a bold leap in 2014 by venturing into the car brokerage business.

Leaving behind his job as a cab driver, he dared to dream of a future where his passions and ambitions would converge.

Through sheer determination and unwavering persistence, he managed to accumulate savings, allowing him to purchase his first car.

This marked a significant turning point, propelling him into the world of entrepreneurship.

With each passing day, Meshack’s entrepreneurial spirit soared.

He transitioned from a car owner to a dealer, working with established companies.

Recognizing the potential of social media, he harnessed its power to showcase the cars he sold, thereby expanding his reach and customer base.

In this journey, Meshack founded “Hot Car Deals Motors,” a venture that would soon become a prominent name in Nairobi’s car dealership scene.

The company distinguished itself by sourcing vehicles from some of the world’s most reputable markets, ensuring top-quality automobiles for its customers.

From Japan to the United Kingdom, Australia to South Africa, Hot Car Deals Motors scoured the globe for the best, providing Nairobi’s residents with a diverse and comprehensive range of vehicles.

What set Meshack’s venture apart was not just the quality of cars but also the flexibility of payment options.

Understanding the diverse financial situations of his clients, he tailored his services to accommodate their needs. Cash payments offered simplicity for those seeking quick transactions, while financing options through reputable institutions like NCBA, ABSA, Stanbic, and Equity Bank provided opportunities for those requiring financial support.

For those desiring convenience, the hire-purchase arrangement allowed them to drive away with just a 50% down payment, with the remaining financing secured in an impressive one-hour turnaround time.
